All On Song

Client brief:

To turn an existing static site into a dynamic one with an exciting front page that constantly changes.

All this must be achieved - without the need of fancy coding by the client!

pictures are resized on the fly and additional traffic is driven to the site by placing its original music files on youtube and then embedding them back in this site.

Shelfanger.com

Posted in

Client brief:

Community website with a need to share information easily, eg. Local homewatch committee.

This group and many others in the village need up to date information supplied by local police, council, clubs etc.

Method:

An online webgroup was set up http://shelfanger.com/homewatch, members subcribed to it. As soon as information is added (either directly by the police or webmaster) to the section emails are 'pushed' to each member and the RSS feed on their PC is activated.

The new must allow the client to edit/add without the need for extra software or training. Its look should reflect the high class service One2oneClinic offer.

FishGrovewater.com

Posted in

Client brief:

Need to manage the site themselves and upload video and photos WITHOUT having to mess about with resizing.

Also important that anglers can look on the website and see today's Sunrise/Sunset so they know when last cast is - currently laboriously done by hand

Method:

Use programmming to upload any size photo, the system automatically resizes it to 800x600 and then creates thumbnail and main images on the fly when required. We used hew features in PHP5 date function to generate the sunrise/sunset automatically, needing no client intervention.

The Magdalene Group

Posted in

Client brief:

The Magdalene Group is a Norfolk charity with a Christian ethos, made up of paid staff and volunteers.

It was formed in 1992 in response to concerns about the number of people working in prostitution on the streets.

It needed to be muli-language, accessible and have a fresh design that used photographs that were not recognisable as particular individuals.
